This speckled bowl is glazed with a lovely soft blue that allows the speckles in the clay to shine through and provides a pleasant and secure tactile experience. The matte finish is smooth, but less slippery than a glass-finish glaze (particularly when wet). The exterior of the bowl has beautifully subtle carvings: inverted teardrops below the rim, and wide rounded flutings emanating from the foot.
